I have spent the last year looking at these arguments about stuff we
just can't seem to prove. They consist of: AGW Anthroprogenic Global
Warming, AIDS, ASD Autism Spectrum Disorder, and finally vaccinations.

There
are two types of crowds we see arguing both sides of these issues and
some of them actually criss-cross each other in a sort of orgy of
hypocrisy reminiscent of witch hunts and inquisitions. I want to take
a moment to help the reader understand that there are only two things
that are commonalities involved with all of the black and white battles
that continue to divide and distract us all from the root cause.

AGW:
Climategate
happened and OMG here we have many organizations looking like enemies
of science deliberately faking data to trick us into paying a global
dictatorship to enslave us all. Yet this doesn't really disprove AGW.
It merely nullifies those organization's datasets. We now have to
pretend there are other datasets that are flawless. Thus the eternal
inane bickering and ad-hom attacks fly in our ears and eyes until
something acrid comes spewing out of our mouths.

Autism:
New
whistles have been blown that show Dr. Wakefield faked his thimerasol
study data. OMG now we can attack that and pretend that this is
absolute proof that vaccines are not to blame for ASD. The same still
applies. All we have is another worthless dataset. Get over it.

AIDS:
It
doesn't exist...but wait it does exist. I know, we can label someone who
has anything to say about it in the regards of not taking harmful meds
a denier. Yes thats it. Brilliant. This way people will just take the
easy way out and never look into themselves. Beware of people who use
this language of "denier" labeling. It reeks of the stench of retard.
It's an emotionally based ad-hom attack designed to make you fall in
line with cynicism. Retro viruses do exist HIV does exist. The
so-called deniers aren't denying that. They are simply taking a
different route towards treatment and screening of the problem. There
is much disinformation on the topic and very little proof to go with it
for either side. Common sense is defeated as usual in this one as well.

And the grandaddy of em all Vaccinations:

One of the most critical elements which defines the toxicity potential
of any vaccine are its pharmacokinetic properties. Drug companies
and health agencies refuse to consider the study, analysis or
evaluation of the pharmacokinetic properties of any vaccine.

There is not one double-blind, placebo-controlled study in the
history of vaccine development that has ever proven their safety,
effectiveness or achievements (unless those achievements have
underlined their damage to human health).

There are also no controlled studies completed in any country
which have objectively proven that vaccines have had any direct
or consequential effect on the reduction of any type of disease
in any part of the world.

Every single study that has ever attempted to validate the safety
and effectiveness of vaccines has conclusively established carcinogenic,
mutagenic, neurotoxic or fertility impairments, but they won't
                address those.

Yet
we have so-called experts in skepticism and science and conspiracy out there evangelizing the
use or dis-use of vaccinations. Believers, so to speak, that hold to their breast Unisen patches or paper proclamations
that do nothing to prove anything or move us forward.

I can
pretend that when Alex Jones tries to convince me of his altruism that
he really means it so it must be OK to drink the Kool-Aid. I can also
do the same with Dr. Novella and his cadre of contributors at the
science-based-medicine blog or the SGU podcasts. Either way my logic is flawed. As much as
these people think their science isn't flawed or their constitution is the end of the road or that we have undeniable freedoms for which can only be exercised by those who can afford to, everyone seems to ignore
what is causing this shit storm of nonsense.

MONEY MONEY MONEY MONEY and the people who covet it.

If
there is a need to profit any scientist can be swayed, any evangelist
can be driven, any lie can be perpetrated. Regardless of the amount of
studies that say one thing or another they all were tainted with the
nasty stench of money. Someone profited. Cancer isn't going to be
cured because of MONEY. The war on drugs will never be won because of
MONEY. The continued strife and division of the idiots who think they
must pick a side and shout out their fan-boyisms are the
mind-controlled slaves of someone else's profit.

The root cause
of probably 80% of the worlds technical and social problems can be
obliterated as soon as we grow up and collectively stop believing in
money.

Until this happens technological efficiency and
progress will continue to be stagnant as well as validity of research and scientific studies
conducted can never hold an ounce of water here is a perfect example http://14studies.org/.

Stop spending your
energy debating the undebatable and start looking at ways to remove the
one thing that is stifling our species or we will never learn to
cooperate and change value systems for the better. How can the layman or the expert or the generalist ever have trust in science that is conducted until this happens.

The top of the facade of my 115 year old house fell out this spring crashing down and destroying my ugly ass early 50's awnings. My insurance company, Liberty Mutual, would not cover the damage so I had to figure out how to do brick work myself. Not only that, the a-holes said they would drop my coverage by the end of the year if I didn't fix it. Every contractor quoted the cost of repair from 7 - 25k. I did it myself with the help of some really great friends for a mere 2500 bux, plus or minus a few hundred. I could not find a replacement for the decorative brick in the middle so I had to come up with decorative end pieces to fill up the empty void. The guy that owns city museum sold me a couple of those bricks. He was really proud of them and gouged me for them to tune of 50 bux Xo|. They look good. Now that the ugly awnings are gone the place looks 10 times better just from that. I still need to clean it with some muriatic acid but for a first time attempt I am pretty pleased with it. I was able to learn something new and spend less money than a rich guy might have.

Setting up the scaffolding is some scary stuff. It only took a day or two to get over the height issue. I think I gained a couple of pounds of muscle in the process and I got a sweet tan.

I want to thank all those that helped me out: Matt, Sumo, Gary, Rusty, Justice, Colin and especially my wife for watching kids more than anyone should have to.

Thank You Thank You Thank You

I think it was Hitler who was once quoted as saying "When one provokes in a child a fear of the dark, one awakens in him a feeling of atavistic dread. Thus this child will be ruled all his life by this dread, whereas another child, who has been intelligently brought up, will be free of it." Sadly my brother in law and his wife understand this and use it in such a way that to any free thinking person would be thought of as malevolant.

Luckily I was molded by parents who operated with a moral respect for my psyche. I was free to look into any religion, church or metaphysical realm I wanted to play with at will. The result was me doing that only when I hit puberty. This is a natural progression because there really was no way I could have made metaphysical decisions regarding my personal spiritual belief system until I had reached that level of development.

Telling a child that they will go to Hell if they don't believe in Jesus is pretty much the same thing as saying if you don't eat your peas the boogy man will eat your toenails off. My message to the "ruled by dread" crowd is this. At least have enough respect for your own family members' boundaries to objectify for two seconds, or long enough, to realize that using faith as the basis for an argument is the most retarded concept ever invented. When you do this to kids who can't understand that your reasoning is flawed and have no way to compare or contrast it to anything else in their experience then you are damaging them as you have been damaged. Please stop the cycle and wait until the child is of age to pull your little Jesus snake oil scheme.

I after receiving my invite for GV I noticed that I had already gotten one back during the begining of the month (ARRRRRGH). I got one of them fancy pants Android phones so now I got a new number 731-HOT-MOFO (731-468-6636). This post is not going to be a review of the new product the Google masters have given the public but my reaction to it's yummy newness. It's seemless. I <3 the Google masters. Notice the sweet new widget on my site over there -----> aint it cooler than penguin poo? (it looks confusing but they want you to put your name and number in the widget so you can use your phone to call me.)
